Synchrotron SAXS data from solutions of TRIM28 RBCC (R184D mutant) in 10 mM Tris 300 mM NaCl 0.1 mM TCEP, pH 8 were collected using size-exclusion chromatography SAXS (SEC-SAXS) on the SAXS/WAXS beam line at the Australian Synchrotron (Melbourne, Australia) using a Pilatus 1M detector at a sample-detector distance of 3.3 m and at a wavelength of λ = 0.113 nm (l(s) vs s, where s = 4πsinθ/λ, and 2θ is the scattering angle). SEC-SAXS was performed at 16 °C using the following parameters: Column: GE-Healthcare S200 5/150 analytical SEC column; Flow rate: 0.5 mL/min; Sample injection concentration: 4.9 mg/mL; Injection volume: 50 μL. Total X-ray acquisition time = 690 s. The data were collected through the SEC peak of the protein as a series of 12 x 1 second exposures. The data were normalized to the intensity of the transmitted beam and radially averaged; the scattering of an appropriate solvent-blank was subtracted.
