Synchrotron SAXS data from solutions of multimeric eukaryotic initiation factor 4A1 bound to 20 nt (AG)10-24bp duplex RNA in 20 mM Hepes, 100 mM KCl, pH 7.5 were collected on the B21 beam line at the Diamond Light Source (Didcot, UK) using a Eiger 4M detector at a wavelength of λ = 0.1 nm (I(s) vs s, where s = 4πsinθ/λ, and 2θ is the scattering angle). One solute concentration of 5.00 mg/ml was measured at 4°C. The data were normalized to the intensity of the transmitted beam and radially averaged; the scattering of the solvent-blank was subtracted.
