Synchrotron WAXS data from solutions of beta-cyclodextrin in water, pH 7 were collected on the 11-ID-B beam line at the Advanced Photon Source (APS), Argonne National Laboratory (Lemont, IL, USA) using a Perkin–Elmer amorphous Si detector at a sample-detector distance of 0.188 m and at a wavelength of λ = 0.0211 nm (I(s) vs s, where s = 4πsinθ/λ, and 2θ is the scattering angle). One solute concentration of 18.00 mg/ml was measured at 20°C. 10 successive 180 second frames were collected. The data were normalized to the intensity of the transmitted beam and radially averaged; the scattering of the solvent-blank was subtracted.

The data displayed in this entry were generated from merging SAXS data with extended-range WAXS data. The WAXS collection parameters are described above. The corresponding SAXS data were collected on the 15-ID-D beam line at the Advanced Photon Source (APS), Argonne National Laboratory (Lemont, IL, USA) using a Pilatus 300K detector at a sample-detector distance of 0.57 m and at a wavelength of λ = 0.07749 nm at 20°C. 200 successive 1 second frames were collected. Note: The source/downloadable merged SAXS/WAXS data provided in this entry have s-units of inverse Å. https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/compound/beta-Cyclodextrin
