This protein is from plant pathogen Pseudomonas syringae strain MTCC 11950. It interacts with plant host cell proteins (receptors) and induces defense response in plants against microbial pathogens. Also it forms oligomeric complex in a concentration dependent manner which functions as tunnel forming syringe to infect plants. The protein construct used for SAXS includes an additional N-terminal polyhistidine tag.
