Maltose/maltodextrin-binding periplasmic protein (D108A, K109A, E198A, N199A, K265A)

MBP protein
Organism: Escherichia coli (strain K12)
Monomeric molecular weight: 40.2 kDa
Oligomeric state: Dimer
Total molecular weight: 80.5 kDa
UniProt: P0AEX9 (27-384)
Sequence:

The complete form of the protein of interest is a fusion protein between the Escherichia coli Maltose-Binding Protein (MBP) (Uniprot: P0AEX9) and the Mycobacterium tuberculsosis MabR (Rv2242) (Uniprot: P9WPH5). The MBP used is a variant with an additional linker and point mutations (D108A, K109A, E198A, N199A, K265A). The fusion protein adopts three forms in solution: tetramer, dimer and monomer. Then, in SEC-SAXS three frames are averaged and analyzed for the three different peaks.
